3.1 Processing Time
Orders are typically processed and shipped within 3 business days of payment confirmation. During peak periods or following holidays, processing time may be extended. You will receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking information once your order has shipped.
3.2 Carriers & Methods
We ship using insured, trackable carriers (FedEx, UPS, or equivalent). Carrier selection is at our discretion based on item value, destination, and service availability.
At checkout, you will have the option to select your preferred shipping speed and level of insurance, including the option to decline insurance entirely. All shipping and insurance costs are the responsibility of the customer.
3.3 Signature Required
A signature is required upon delivery for all orders. This requirement protects both the buyer and Refined by Leather Surgeons and may not be waived. Packages that are returned to us due to failed delivery attempts may be re-shipped at the buyer’s expense.
3.4 Insurance
All shipments are insured for the full purchase price at no additional cost to the customer. Please note that while shipments are insured, LSI is not the provider of that insurance. Any claim, coverage determination, investigation, denial, or payout is subject to the terms, conditions, and discretion of the insurance provider. LSI’s role is limited to assisting with the submission of claims and supporting documentation where applicable.
If a package is lost or damaged in transit, you must notify us immediately so that we may assist in initiating a carrier claim where applicable.
If there is any indication that the package has been damaged in transit, you should photograph the exterior packaging prior to opening. You must also provide clear photographs of the packaging and any damage to the item. All original packaging materials must be retained, as they may be required as part of the claims process. 3.5 Risk of Loss
Risk of loss transfers to the buyer once the order has been tendered to the carrier and a tracking number has been issued. If the carrier confirms delivery to the correct address provided at checkout, our obligation is fulfilled. We are not responsible for packages confirmed as delivered that are subsequently reported missing from the delivery location.
3.6 Address Accuracy
You are solely responsible for entering the correct and complete shipping address at checkout. Leather Surgeons is not responsible for orders delivered to an incorrect address provided by the buyer, and we are unable to retrieve or redirect packages once shipped.
3.7 International Shipping
We offer international shipping to select destinations.
International buyers are responsible for all applicable customs duties, taxes, import fees, and any costs associated with customs clearance. These charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost and are non-refundable.
We do not ship to countries or regions subject to U.S. government trade sanctions.
